Now, the largest weekly open-air food market in America, Smorgasburg is coming to Toronto.
Smorgasburg began in 2011 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn as a spinoff to spinoff of Brooklyn Flea.

The market which took its name combining “Smörgåsbord”, a type of Scandinavian meal and “Williamsburg, then successfully expanded to Manhattan, Jersey City, and Los Angeles.
Smorgasburg is coming for the first time to Canada and the market dubbed “The Woodstock of Eating” by New York Times will launch on July 23 on the Toronto downtown waterfront at the foot of Yonge Street.
Smorgasburg Toronto will feature vibrant weekly outdoor food markets showcasing more than 50 vendors from across the city “who represent its culinary diversity and burgeoning food and arts scene.”
Toronto market is produced by Landon Logie, and Toronto food writer Suresh Doss (CBC Toronto, Toronto Star) is curating the food and drink program for Smorgasburg Toronto’s eight-week run.
