A spectacular show to support people in Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees in Canada will be touring the country this summer.
ALIVE: The Spirit of Ukraine
The show, ALIVE: The Spirit of Ukraine, will bring together top-ranked Ukrainian artists – from Ukraine, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Lithuania, Slovakia, Mexico, Dominican Republic to name a few – and will present a fantastic, new, special dance performance about Good and Evil that teaches us, no matter how strong the opposing forces may be, you will prevail if your heart is full of love and passion.
You can see the Best Ukrainian Circus Duo on Aerial Silks, Winners of the International Festival “Fiestalonia Milenio”, Champions of Ukraine in Ballrom Dancing, members of the Virsky Ukrainian State Folk Dance Ensemble and the Veryovka Ukrainian National Folk Choir Ensemble to name a few.
ALIVE: The Spirit of Ukraine
A portion of the proceeds from the show will go to help people in Ukraine (through the Canada-Ukraine Foundation) and to support Ukrainian refugees in Canada.
As per the CBC, Canada is home to the world’s largest Ukrainian population not including Ukraine and Russia with about 1.3 million inhabitants identifying as Ukrainian-Canadians in the 2016 census.
ALIVE: The Spirit of Ukraine
What: Creating a splash with a spectacular water dance show, an array of beautiful and talented Ukrainian dancers will draw further attention to the horrific war in Ukraine. The performers will not only invite the audience to get acquainted with the indomitable spirit and rich culture of the Ukrainian nation but also to revel in the diverse dance forms that Ukrainian immigrants have proudly introduced to Canadians over the last century. The show will offer the audience the opportunity to show their support for those displaced by the Ukrainian crisis.
