The venue is hosting what it’s calling Calgary’s biggest Easter egg hunt on April 4, turning the All Canada Ring and Founders Plaza into a large outdoor play space filled with thousands of hidden eggs.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is geared toward families looking for more than just a traditional hunt.
Alongside the usual egg collecting, there’s an added layer of excitement. Hidden among the eggs are 16 hand-blown glass “Golden Eggs.” Anyone who finds one will be brought on stage for a draw, with a share of $10,000 in cash prizes up for grabs.
The day isn’t just about the hunt. Organizers have planned a full slate of activities, including live entertainment, a petting zoo, carnival-style games, face painting, and a bouncy castle area. There will also be food trucks and local vendors on site.
Each ticket, priced at $15 plus GST, includes an Easter basket so kids can start collecting eggs right away. Children under three can attend for free, and parking is available at no cost in designated lots.
There’s even a hands-on element for those looking to slow things down, with a fresh flower bar offering guests the chance to build their own bouquet.
