Events Description
The Edmonton Region of the Alberta Drama Festival Association (ADFA) proudly presents its Stage Struck! One Act Play Festival. The 2024 festival will feature nine plays, including six new works by local playwrights, two previously produced works and a staged reading.
The 2024 festival has three sessions, with a short public adjudication by the Festival’s Adjudicator after each session. Following the Saturday evening session, awards will be presented for Outstanding Production, Outstanding Performances (2), Outstanding New Work and Outstanding Direction. There will also be a Technical Director’s award and an Alberta Playwrights’ Network prize for Outstanding New Work presented to the playwright. Each group receives a private adjudication.
The winning production from Stage Struck! 2024 will compete in the ADFA Provincial Festival, to be held May 19 and 20 in Grande Prairie.
The 2024 Festival is brought to you with the assistance of Alberta Playwrights’ Network and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.
