  • A walk-up Main Street will bring you directly to Grand Bend Mini Golf. This family attraction is also, surprisingly, a mini museum, too! The mini golf course and holes are all themed around Grand Bend’s history.
  • Grand Bend Speedway & Festival Centre is an action-packed attraction near Grand Bend and a short drive from Main Street. Watch the live race events from the stands or take advantage of the Speedway’s go-kart experiences.

Hiking or Biking around Grand Bend

Walks, jogs, hikes, or bike rides are some of the best ways to explore while on vacation and can get you access to some incredible hidden views. In Grand Bend specifically, these trails get your views of possible wildlife, Lake Huron, or the river as it runs through Pinery Provincial Park.

  • The trails within Pinery are all relatively simpler trails, although some have a bit of an elevation gain up hills or wooden staircases. The Lookout Trail is shorter at 1km, with views of sand dunes and possibly large birds above the trail.
  • Explore the Provincial Park on a bike with the 14km Savanna Trail, which creates a loop through the park.
  • For many of the Pinery trails, the Visitor’s Centre can provide an experienced guide to help you navigate the park!
  • The Rotary Nature Trail is an 8km hike and bike trail which connects the town of Grand Bend to Pinery Provincial Park.

If you want to find the summer events in Grand Bend, look to the main local attractions like the North Beach, the Speedway, or the museum! These are all locations for some of Grand Bend’s biggest summer celebrations.

  • No summer is complete without catching a live play at Huron Country Playhouse. After the show, unwind with a picnic on the beautifully landscaped grounds, adding a perfect touch to your summer experience.
  • Take advantage of two markets in Grand Bend that are filled with local goodies of all kinds to take on a picnic, back home, or as gifts for others. The Pinery Market is open every Sunday, and The Lambton Shores Farmers’ Market is open Wednesday mornings on the Lambton Heritage Museum grounds. If visiting later in the summer, catch the Pinery Market Ice Cream Festival in mid-September!
  • Enjoy even more great eats with Grand Bend’s annual Rib Fest, usually hosted at the Grand Bend Speedway in late June.
  • Also, in late June/early July, is Grand Bend Beachfest! Enjoy live music, local food, and beer, all by the beach.
