Grab your camera and get ready to smile for some fantastic photo ops when you visit a sunflower farm. Nova Scotia is just starting to see these sunny flowers bloom at challenging mazes and at U-pick farms. Blooming from mid to late August to early September, these huge, beautiful flowers are a ‘must’ add to your bucket list for this summer.
The most popular sunflower farm and maze in Nova Scotia, Dakeyne Farm is an Instagrammer’s paradise. Just a short drive from Halifax, the maze is in the lovely community of Mount Denson on the edge of the Annapolis Valley. There is also an area where you can have a picnic, play frisbee, fly kites, play a game of soccer, or paint a picture. This year the Sunflower Maze will be open “By Appointment Only”, which can be booked by e-mail.
