The Killers to Close Out Churchill Park Music Festival on July 29

The Killers will headline the final night of the Churchill Park Music Festival in St. John’s.

The Las Vegas-based rock band will be joined by special guests The Beaches and Matt Mays on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

Formed in 2002, The Killers are known for hit songs such as “Mr. Brightside,” “Somebody Told Me,” and “Human.” The band, consisting of Brandon Flowers, Ronnie Vannucci, Dave Keuning, and Mark Stoermer, has sold over 25 million albums worldwide and received multiple Grammy and MTV nominations. Their 2023 album Rebel Diamonds features tracks spanning their two-decade career, including the now Diamond-certified “Mr. Brightside.”

Joining them are The Beaches, a Toronto-based group whose single “Blame Brett” reached #1 on Canadian alternative radio for 13 weeks and has surpassed 70 million Spotify streams. The four-member band recently completed a sold-out international tour.

Also performing is Canadian artist Matt Mays, known for his solo and band projects, including the JUNO Award-winning album Coyote and 2020’s Dog City. Mays has continued to release music and tour extensively across Canada.

The Churchill Park Music Festival is organized by Mighty Quinton Concerts and held in Churchill Park. The multi-day event features a mix of musical genres and artists set in a natural, accessible venue.

Def Leppard will headline the festival on Friday, July 25. Joining Def Leppard on stage will be Canadian favourites Sam Roberts Band and Honeymoon Suite.

Tickets for the event go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, April 2, at 12 p.m. NDT through ChurchillParkMusicFestival.com. A pre-sale for festival insiders will begin on Tuesday, April 1, at noon and end the same day at 10 p.m.
