1. Kitchen Creations

What creations can be made in our kitchens? Participants will conduct experiments – both culinary & scientific. Workshop includes games, crafts, and a tour of the Museum. Participants should bring their own nut-free lunch. Cost includes all materials and snacks.  Details

3. 2017 NBA D-League Showcase

The NBA Development League is the NBA’s official minor league, preparing players, coaches, officials, trainers, and front-office staff for the NBA while acting as the league’s research and development laboratory. Featuring 22 teams with direct affiliations with NBA franchises for the 2016-17 season, the league offers elite professional basketball at an affordable price in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.  Details

Drop in for family fun! Join us for a Lunar New Year craft and a guided tour of our historic homes.

6. PA Day at the Museum

Bust PA Day boredom for your kids! Children will explore the many on-site attractions while participating in fun and educational activities that have been specially programmed to keep kids active while school’s out. Details

7. PA Day Painting Camp

Every PA-Day, we invite students to the Art Hub for a fun day of painting! There are different, inspiring themes each day, and everyone takes home their colourful creations! The theme for January 20 is Winter Landscapes. Beginners welcome: we will teach you all the basics, step-by-step.

1. Fire & Ice Winter Festival

 Rediscover Canadian winter traditions and enjoy spectacular ice carvings, a super snow slide, skating on the millpond rink, maple syrup snow pops, delectable food & hot beverages, capped off with a spellbinding fire sculpture at dusk on Saturday.   Details

2. Robbie Burns Day

Celebrate the birthday of the infamous Scottish Poet with toe-tapping live music, shortbread and a taste of haggis! Hear some comical stories about that oft’ misunderstood concoction!   Details

3. Winter Fun Day

Join us for fun wintery activities for the whole family at Colborne Lodge! Roast marshmallows and sip warm cider in the great outdoors. Make a feeder for our feathered friends in the Coach House. Pull delicious taffy in the historic kitchens. Go for an interactive exploration of the historic house. Dress warmly as many activities are outside.  Details

4. An Afternoon with Mosaic Storytelling

 Come out of the cold and let three of Toronto’s master storytellers whirl you away to distant lands. Hugh Cotton will transport you to a Celtic kingdom of yore, Rukhsana Khan will take you on a mythical tour of India, Persia and the Middle East and wherever Joanna Chapman-Smith takes you, there will be trolls. Details

5. Family Funday: Fossil Fest

Come along on a prehistoric journey millions of years in the making! From tiny beginnings to enormous dinosaurs, discover the trail of fossils that life on Earth has left in its tracks with ROM researchers and exciting activities.

6. Family Literacy Day Celebrations

Have fun celebrating Family Literacy Day at the Library. Various events including Bingo, Scavenger hunt etc.

7. Escape Room – The Missing List

 Bring out your family for a fun-filled hour of excitement as you try to help Santa by recovering his Missing Naughty & Nice List! You and your group have just 60 minutes until Santa’s scheduled departure from the North Pole, to follow the clues and solve the puzzles in order to find the Missing List somewhere inside Santa’s office! You must hurry, there are children all over the world counting on you!! Details

8. Evergreen’s Winter Village

Celebrate the holiday season at Evergreen’s Winter Village at the Brick Works! Enjoy the new Street Food Market, find unique gifts, shop the Farmers Market and play outdoors all throughout February!  Details
