1.Toronto Zoo
With more than 5,000 animals in our care representing 450 species, the Toronto Zoo is committed to fighting extinction and connecting people to wildlife. 2. High Park Zoo
Things to do:
See over over 45 animals from 11 different species of mammals and birds. There are bisons, barbary sheep, Emu, reindeers, deer, llamas, peacocks for your little ones to discover. Website

3. Far Away Farm
Things to do:
See over 40 different species of farmyard animals and exotic birds. Animals include mini pot belly pigs, alpacas and more. Website

4.Oshawa Zoo and Fun Farm
Things to do:
A great place to take young children, and to get up close and personal with the animals. Oshawa zoo has over 45 species of animals spread over 22 acres. Website

5. Jungle Cat World Wildlife Park

11. Bronte Creek Provincial Park
Things to do:
Visit the 150 old barn in the provincial park with kids and have fun in the play barn, and visit the farm animals. After all the fun (in summer), cool off in one of the largest outdoor pools in Canada. Website

Things to do:
Visit this family-owned safari park and see over 100 species of mammals and birds from across the world from the comfort of your own car. See birds of prey demonstrations, enjoy an Elephant rides (only zoo in the area that has an elephant), and more at this safari park. Website

13. Ostrich Land
Things to do:
Ostrich Land is a farm providing education and healthy products to families. There are three ostrich species in the farm: black, blue and red. You will discover the chicks in the nursery; meet, beak to beak, with a flock of ostriches and maybe have an opportunity to touch. In addition to ostriches, there are other farm animals, vegetable gardens and Ostrich-related products in the Shop including toys, lotions, soaps, and leather products. Website
