Celebrate the rich culture and history of the Trinidad and Tobago diaspora at this one-of-a-kind festival in Toronto.
Returning for its second year, the Trinbago Festival is set to captivate Toronto from August 26 to 27, 2023, at Yonge-Dundas Square.
Following its impressive debut with 18,000 attendees in 2022, this year’s festival promises an even grander experience. The event celebrates the rich culture of Trinidad and Tobago, offering a dynamic blend of Caribbean cuisine, a new Carib Beer Garden, and the infectious rhythms of soca music, creating an unmatched atmosphere in downtown Toronto.
The Trinbago Festival is proud to announce new collaborations with Caribbean Airlines Limited (CAL) and the National Carnival Commission of Trinidad and Tobago.
CAL will launch its “Welcome Home” campaign as part of the festival, featuring headlining performances by Caribbean stars such as Nadia Batson, Farmer Nappy, David Rudder, KI, and Agent Sasco. The event will also showcase an array of local talent, spanning calypso, soca, cultural dances, steelpan music, and an exciting Soca DJ lineup.
The National Carnival Commission will curate a special cultural segment, offering visitors an authentic taste of Trinidad and Tobago Carnival, famously known as “The Greatest Show on Earth.”
With the iconic Yonge-Dundas Square as its backdrop, the festival aims to celebrate Trinbagonians’ warmth, creativity, and cultural vibrancy while providing a heartfelt thank you to citizens who excel in various fields.
Open to all ages and free of charge, the festival invites everyone to join in the festivities. The event will culminate in a spectacular display of Trinidad and Tobago’s national colours illuminating the CN Tower and Toronto sign on August 26, 2023.
