If you’re a Chipotle fan in Calgary, you’ll soon have a couple more places to grab a meal.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is opening its ninth Calgary restaurant at 922 85th Street SW on Thursday, September 10, with a tenth location at 3814 University Avenue NW in the University District set to follow later this month.
Together, the two restaurants will create about 60 local jobs and bring Chipotle’s Calgary total to 10 locations.
There’s also a little extra happening on opening day at 85th Street. From 3 p.m. until closing on September 10, you can buy one entrée and get a second free if you show up wearing school apparel or accessories. The School Spirit BOGO applies to everything from elementary and high school gear to post-secondary shirts, jerseys, hats and sweatshirts.
“The School Spirit BOGO makes it easy for students to get together over Chipotle after class or between activities and celebrate the start of a new school year,” said Anat Davidzon, Managing Director of International at Chipotle.
If you arrive early, there’s another perk. The first 50 guests who purchase an entrée at each new restaurant will receive a complimentary Chipotle-branded speaker, while supplies last.
Both locations will operate daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.
You’ll also find two limited-time menu additions: Pollo Asado, grilled chicken seasoned with garlic, Mexican spices, cilantro and citrus, and Chili Lime Chips, made with lime and chili peppers.
For job seekers, Chipotle says available roles include benefits such as tuition reimbursement, retirement savings matching and access to mental healthcare.
