Prepare for a day of Ukrainian cultural immersion at the Ukrainian Day in the Park event, held in Saskatoon’s picturesque Kiwanis Memorial Park.

Since its inception in 2001, this annual outdoor festival has grown into the province’s largest Ukrainian celebration, attracting both locals and visitors to enjoy a vibrant day filled with cultural treasures.
Set against the backdrop of Kiwanis Memorial Park, the event promises a memorable day for all ages. From energetic stage performances and delicious food vendors to lively beer gardens and fun-filled children’s activities, the festival offers something for everyone. Whether you’re coming with friends, family, or on your own, a great time is guaranteed.
The Children’s Corner offers a hub of youthful excitement, featuring bounce castles, face painting, making pysanky, cross stitch bookmarks, beaded bookmarks, vinok, keychains, and more! Visitors can also browse Ukrainian crafts from vendors such as Freba Pottery & Charmaine’s Little Perogies, Nettie’s Needle Nook, Ukreations, and others.
Indulge in delicious Ukrainian cuisine, including cabbage rolls, pelmeni, varenyky, borshch, shashlyk (Ukrainian kebab), and more from various food vendors. The Beer Gardens will be open from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. A token system is used for food and beverages, with two token booths positioned near the north and south park entrances. Tokens are priced at $1.00 each.
Ukrainian Day in the Park
Mark August 24th on your calendar, as it promises a day packed with festivities and the lively spirit of Ukrainian culture. The gates open at 11:00 a.m., with the official opening ceremony starting at noon. The Canadian Citizenship Ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. From 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the stage will be filled with captivating performances by local Ukrainian dance groups.
