
Urban Camping is a unique way to explore Ottawa. Pitch your tent in one of Ottawa’s grassy camp sites and head into the nearby recreation centre to cool off in the wave pool.
Where can you pitch a tent?
Most of the sites are located in close proximity to City recreation facilities. Campers at those locations will have access to showers and toilets and, for a small extra fee, can access weight room, pool and gym amenities.

When is Urban Camping Allowed?
Visitors can book a spot to park a camper or pitch a tent from June 29 to July 4, 2017
Voyageur Package (5 night stay)
Arrive on Thursday, June 29 and enjoy five nights of fireworks, festivities and fun before departing on Tuesday July 4.
How much: $282.50 (tent early bird) to $1, 130 (Long RV regular registration)
Portage Package (3 night stay)
The Portage package is a shorter stay centred on the Canada Day weekend. Arrive on Friday June 30, just in time for the biggest party in Canada, and enjoy three amazing nights before departing on Monday July 3.
How much: $220.50 (tent early bird) to $712 (Long RV – regular registration)
How to book the camp sites?
Early bird registration for Urban Camping began on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 9 a.m.
A limited number of Voyageur (five-night) packages will be available for sale on at a reduced rate.
Regular registration for both Voyageur (five-night) and Portage (three-night) packages will begin on Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
