Vancouver Folk Music Festival
From July 17 to 19, the Vancouver Folk Music Festival will rock Jericho Beach Park with an epic weekend of tunes.
This year’s lineup is a musical smorgasbord, serving up a diverse array of genres and styles. We’re talking forro, flamenco, step dance, protest anthems, love ballads, and more!
The three-day event brings together a wide mix of artists, from well-known names like Billy Bragg, Valerie June and Hazlett to Canadian voices such as Ruby Waters, Aysanabee and Haley Blais. The lineup stretches across styles and borders, with performers including Mitsune, Sahra Halgan and Maruja Limón, alongside dozens of others. In total, more than 40 acts are part of this year’s program.
The festival has been a fixture in Vancouver since 1978. It began in Stanley Park before moving to Jericho Beach Park in its second year. Since 1979, it has been run by the non-profit Vancouver Folk Music Festival Society. Over time, it has grown into a gathering that draws tens of thousands of people each summer.
Weekend passes are now on sale for the party at Jericho Beach Park. Early bird pricing is set at $225 for adults, $195 for those 65 and older, and $150 for students.
