The Vancouver Folk Music Festival is a Canadian cultural institution – a unique community-based celebration with an internationally-renowned reputation for presenting the finest traditional and contemporary folk and roots music artists from around the world.
Each year, the Festival draws more than 40,000 enthusiastic attendees to beautiful Jericho Beach Park. Two and even three generations of families join friends and fellow community members to experience the music and culture of more than 40 international, national, and local acts. They come together to dance and to enjoy food and children’s activities – and the magical ambience of the Festival.
The Little Folks Village is the place to be for fun, interesting and creative things for the kids of all ages!

Some 40 music acts from 10+ countries, six states and eight provinces are coming to play for you.
The 2023 lineup features acclaimed artists including Arizona’s Tex-Mex outfit Calexico, women’s music icon Ferron, the multi-faceted Joachim Cooder, award-winning William Prince, and up-and-comers Tré Burt and Tiny Habits. There are generational singers Aoife O’Donovan, Ruth Moody, and Samantha Parton. New Italian traditions with Kalàscima featuring Andrea Ramolo. Top it off with two genuine music legends in Joe Henry and Albert
