What is Open Closed in Hamilton
Due to COVID-19 many attractions are closed and gatherings of more than 5 are prohibited.
Ontario is in a state of Emergency that mandates residents to maintain a 2 meter physical distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Though there are not many things you can do during these unprecedented times, there are few activities that can be enjoyed while physical distancing is in effect that is in accordance with Ontario’s Health Orders during this May long weekend.
1. Enjoy a Virtual Fireworks Display
Although Victoria day fireworks has been cancelled due to Covid-19, you can now enjoy a video/virtual FIREWORKS display with the Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise and the City of Hamilton. Details

2. Go Fishing
You can cast a line and reel in that big catch at Ontario Provincial Parks. However, please obey any fishing location restrictions in the park as well as all public health guidelines on group sizes and physical distancing.
3. Enjoy Hiking or Discover Nature Attractions in Hamilton
City parks and green spaces, Provincial parks and conservation reserves, City of Hamilton Trails as well as Hamilton Conservation Authority conservation areas are open for people to enjoy some time with nature.

4. Go Birding
Spring is a great time to go birding and there are many fabulous locations in Ontario. You can also enjoy bird watching at Hamilton Conservation Authority conservation areas.
5. Take-out and Support Local
If you can afford, order a take out from Hamilton restaurants.
Hamilton Farmers’ Market is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm.
6. Go Golfing
Ontario Golf Courses may open from May 16. Check which golf course is open to enjoy tee time.
7. Enjoy a Quarantine Concert

Explore Canada’s arctic, Winnipeg, National Parks and many more places from Home. Travel to international or outer space destinations like the international space station, discover Egypt’s Heritage Sites from tombs to monasteries or take a trip on scenic trains in Europe virtually.
