Watch Enchanting Performance by National Ballet of Canada at Terre Bleu Lavender Farm

As summer comes to an end, GTA’s famous lavender & sunflower farm, Terre Bleu Lavender Farm is closing out its season with an enchanting performance from the National Ballet of Canada.

On September 11th, ticket holders to the event will be treated to live 60-minute rehearsals by National Ballet, 45-minute pilates class taught by Kate Kernaghan, Director of In Studio at The National Ballet of Canada, classical music performances and delicious food and drink from Terre Bleu’s local restaurant partners, Jackson and Triggs and Saintly Wines.

 

The National Ballet of Canada is returning to the stage in 2021 with Angels’ Atlas & Serenade (November 11 – November 21, 2021), The Nutcracker (December), A Streetcar Named Desire, A Ballet by John Neumeier (March 2 – March 6, 2022), The Sleeping Beauty (March 11 – March 20, 2022), Elite Syncopations & New Work by Alysa Pires World Premiere & New Work by Siphesihle November World Premiere & After the Rain Company Premiere (March 23 – March 27, 2022) and the long awaited world premiere of Swan Lake (June 10 – June 26, 2022).

The National Ballet and Terre Bleu – Season Finale

 

What: Enjoy an enchanted afternoon at Terre Bleu Lavender Farm when the fields are graced with the elegance and beauty that only a ballet dancer can bring. While the Lavender has been harvested, Terre Bleu is bringing a spectacular new beauty to centre stage.

You’ll receive a live, behind-the-scenes look at how the National Ballet’s trains its dancers and rehearses for its magical performances. You’ll be an up close and personal witness to a very intimate afternoon of dance, and music, plus if you wish you can even participate in a pilates class alongside the dancers themselves.

Adding to the magic a string ensemble will play classical pieces from both film and theatre while you enjoy lite food and drink from local restaurant partners, and Jackson and Triggs and Saintly Wines.

Cost: $199 per person plux taxes, and include:

  • A 45-minute pilates class taught by Kate Kernaghan, Director of In Studio at The National Ballet of Canada
  • Live classical music performances from a string ensemble featuring music from film and theatre
  • A behind-the-scenes look at The National Ballet of Canada’s Apprentices warm-up and training rituals, led by Christopher Stowell, Associate Artistic Director of The National Ballet of Canada.
  • Lite foods from local restaurant partners and 2 complimentary drinks from Arterra Wines
  • A live (60 minute) working rehearsal including a new work by Principal Dancer Siphesihle November created specifically for the Apprentices and excerpts from The Sleeping Beauty.
  • A final audience Q&A with Christopher Stowell and Lisa Robinson following the rehearsal
