1. Party in Alexandra Park & Free Community BBQ

Join the City of Leduc, Leduc Regional Victim Services, Leduc Public Library, and Leduc Regional Parent Link Centre as we send off the summer with a free community barbecue (first come, first serve). There will be lots of family fun for children of all ages, with bouncy castles, face painting, and more! Following the BBQ, the City of Leduc will be hosting a family-friendly outdoor movie at sundown. Movie concessions will be for sale on site before and during the movie supporting Leduc Hub.

2. Harvest of the Past & Harvest Food Festival

Join us for our final special event of the season and witness traditional harvest activities from the period of 1892-1930.

Visitors will be able to view an old-fashioned threshing bee in operation and see costumed interpreters re-enact agricultural methods of harvesting complete with vintage farm equipment and grain deliveries to the historic elevator. Other historical activities include flower and herb drying, feather stripping, making kapusta (sour cabbage), grinding wheat, quilting, and canning of produce from the museum’s heritage gardens.

4. Fall Family Festival

Fun, crafts and games for the whole family in the splendor of the fall Garden. Create your very own scarecrow, build a bird house, or make a beautiful dried/silk flower arrangement. Enjoy a beverage and bake a yummy apple by the Grebe Pond.Bring your own clothes & hats to dress your scarecrow – we provide the stake, the stuffing, and the head.
