The 2026 event, presented by Pratt Homes, includes a special twilight air display on Saturday, June 13, followed by a fireworks finale at 10 p.m.

The weekend also begins the night before with a free outdoor screening of Top Gun: Maverick on Friday, June 12.

A major focus this year is the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, who are celebrating their 55th show season. The 2026 season also marks the final airshow season for the CT-114 Tutor aircraft before the fleet is retired. The Tutor has served the Royal Canadian Air Force since 1963 and has been the Snowbirds’ signature aircraft since 1971.

Military performers include the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, the CF-18 Tactical Demonstration Team, the Canadian Armed Forces SkyHawks Parachute Team, and the CH-146 Griffon Helicopter Demonstration.

Civilian performers include the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association, Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation, Redline Airshows, Northern Stars Aeroteam and the Jet Aircraft Museum CT-133 Silver Star “Red Knight.”

On Saturday, activities run throughout the downtown and waterfront, including military displays by CFB Borden, food and merchandise vendors, family programming, aviation displays and Open Air Dunlop. A performer Meet and Greet takes place at Meridian Place at noon, followed by a Muskoka Extreme water ski show at 5 p.m. The airshow begins at about 6 p.m., with the evening ending with a fireworks show.

Sunday’s programming includes more family activities, military displays, food vendors and a second Muskoka Extreme show at noon. The opening address and national anthem begin at 12:40 p.m., with the airshow starting at 1 p.m.

For the best viewing experience, head to Heritage Park, Centennial Park, or one of the small parks along the shores of Kempenfelt Bay. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even catch the action from a boat. Just make sure to stay east of the safety line between Brentwood Marine and Johnson’s Beach to keep everyone safe.

The airshow is not the only event taking place in the city this weekend; the Barrie Jazz & Blues Festival runs until June 22nd, featuring some of the best Canadian and International Jazz and Blues musicians.

A free airshow shuttle will run both days from designated Barrie Transit locations.

See you there!
