Spruce Meadows is rolling out a brand-new holiday experience this Friday, shifting from its familiar drive-through lights to a fully walkable event called The Enchanted Festival.

Instead of staying in your car, you’ll explore the grounds on foot, moving between glowing outdoor paths and warm indoor installations, and yes, your dog can come too.
What to expect
- Enjoy a stroll through sparkling outdoor lights, crackling firepits, curated vendors, and photo-ready scenes, including a central Christmas tree and train. The outdoor Light Walk stretches across the grounds with firepits, concessions, and access to the Deloitte Ring Dog Park, where a $5 Paw Pass lets pets explore holiday obstacles and photo ops, with proceeds supporting Parachutes for Pets through the Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation.
- The Equi-Plex offers a warm indoor escape filled with a giant light display, a whimsical Christmas maze, Wishing Trees, festive rest areas, roaming entertainers and a surprise “planet” installation suspended overhead, paired with seasonal food and drinks for those taking a break from the cold.
- Step into Founders Plaza, where illuminated pathways, curated vendors, movie screenings from The Grinch to Die Hard, and a central photo spot featuring a Christmas tree and train create an inviting opening scene while Avatara Pizza and Alforno Coffee keep guests fuelled throughout the night.
- Nightly entertainment includes Walter the Wapiti, a snow-white puppet appearing each evening, while Nutcracker Stilt Walkers roam on December 6, 13, 20 and 23, and the mischievous Grunch greets visitors on December 7, 14, 21 and 24, alongside a community mural created with the Jubilee that guests help paint.
