Toronto’s St. Patrick’s parade returns this Sunday, March 15, for its 39th edition.

The St. Patrick’s Parade Society
This is the largest Irish-themed event held in Toronto since 1988. The parade features various community floats and non-profit groups showcasing extravagant floats and marching bands, making it a free, fun-filled day for people of all ages.
Todd McCarthy, Ontario’s Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and Member of Provincial Parliament for Durham, is the Grand Marshal for this year’s parade.

If you are planning to line up along the route for the parade, here is what to know:

The St. Patrick’s Parade Society
The St. Patrick’s Parade, organized by the St. Patrick’s Parade Society, will kick off at 12 noon on Sunday and is expected to last one and a half hours. The start and staging area are near St. George and Bloor St., near the St. George subway station.
The staging area will open at 8 am.
From the start location, the parade will head east on Bloor Street, turn south on Yonge Street and finish outside the Eaton Centre at Yonge & Dundas.
After the parade ends, Sanfoka Square will host the review stand, featuring local dignitaries and the Grand Marshal.
Those who stay can also enjoy live entertainment.
Members of the Toronto Professional Firefighters Association will be collecting cash and canned goods on the Parade route in support of the Daily Bread Food Bank.
Getting There:
The parade route is easily accessible via public transit and TTC subway stations of St. George, Museum, Bloor, Wellesley, College, Dundas and Queen.
The TTC will be enhancing its subway and streetcar services.
Parking: Visitors can park at the Green P parking lots in the area, but parking lots at 107 St. George Street Garage, 100 St. George Street, 2 Tower Rd, 63 St. George Street (Knox)
and 200 College Street will not be accessible.
Road Closures:
The following roads along the route will be closed on Sunday, March 15:
- From 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
- St. George Street between Bloor Street West and College Street.
- Devonshire Place between Bloor Street West and Hoskin Avenue.
- Sussex Avenue, Harbord Street and Ursula Franklin Street between Huron and St. George Streets.
- Hoskin Avenue between St. George Street and Queens Park Crescent West.
- From noon until 3:30 p.m.
- Bloor Street West between St. George and Yonge Streets.
- Yonge Street between Bloor and Richmond Streets.
TTC Changes:
- 13 Avenue Road: Effective March 15, 2026, 11:50 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.

- 13 Avenue Road buses will divert both ways to St George Station via Davenport and Bedford roads./ Stops not served: All stops south of Davenport Road.

- 19 Bay: Effective March 15, 2026, 11:50 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.

- Southbound: from Davenport Road, east and south on Church Street, west on Richmond Street East/West and south on Bay Street, to regular route.
- Northbound: from Bay Street, east on Adelaide Street West/East, north and west on Church Street and west on Davenport Road, to regular route.

- 506 Carlton: Effective March 15, 2026, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- 506B Carlton replacement buses will divert to Wellesley Station via Church Street and Wellesley Street East.
- Stops not served: Carlton Street between Church and Yonge streets, Yonge Street, and west of Yonge Street.

- 97C to Eglinton Station: Effective March 15, 2026, 9:00 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.

- Southbound: From Yonge Street, east and south on Church Street, west on King Street East and south on Yonge Street, to regular route.
- Northbound: From north on Yonge Street, east on Adelaide Street East, north and west on Church Street and north on Yonge Street, to regular route.
- Stops not served: Yonge Street between Church and Adelaide streets.

- Stops not served: Harbord Street/Hoskin Avenue between Spadina Avenue and Queen’s Park, Queen’s Park, Wellesley Street West between Queen’s Park and Yonge Street.
