Get ready to climb Edmonton’s one and only ice climbing facility operated in the beautiful river valley with the view of Edmonton downtown.

YEGICE or Edmonton’s Ice Wall operated by Alpine Club of Canada is returning for 2021-22 winter season.
Alpine Club of Canada is offering beginner classes for those interested in learning ice climbing. The suggested minimum age is 10 and classes begin December 14th.
There are no prerequisites for the Intro to Ice Climbing Course and you will be provided with the required gear including boots, crampons, ice tools, harness, and helmet.
This course is 1.5 hr long and will teach you how to use the equipment, how to belay and basic ice climbing techniques.
If you know how to, you may drop in to climb the ice wall.

When: Winter Season. Classes begin: Tuesday, December 14, 2021
Monday to Friday – 4pm to 9pm
Saturday – 10am to 5pm
Sunday – 10am to 5pm
How Much: $19 for drop-in
$49 for the ice climbing course.
