CSJ is part of the federal government’s Youth Employment and Skills Strategy, designed to help young people, especially those facing barriers to employment, find work opportunities.

The CSJ program provides wage subsidies to private-sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees, as well as not-for-profit organizations and the public sector.

Per the news release, there will be over 70,000 CSJ placements this summer available in emerging sectors such as the digital economy, green jobs, and natural resources. The program prioritizes projects that support youth who face barriers to employment, including Indigenous youth, those with disabilities, and Black and other racialized youth.

These full-time placements will last between 6 and 16 weeks, giving young people ample time to develop their skills and gain experience in the workforce.

Interested job seekers can find new job opportunities in their communities by visiting the website or downloading the Job Bank mobile app. New jobs will be posted on Job Bank until July 24.
