Each June, Sled Island unfolds over five days, filling more than 30 venues in Calgary with music, comedy, and art.

Set for June 17 to 21, 2026, the festival typically hosts over 250 bands and draws upwards of 30,000 attendees.
More than 200 artists are selected through its submission process, spotlighting local and emerging performers.
For 2026, LA experimental hip-hop trio clipping. will serve as guest curator. Known for an inventive approach that stretches hip-hop’s vocal and instrumental limits, the group will help shape the lineup.
Artists confirmed so far include Black Country, New Road; HOMESHAKE; Sextile; feeble little horse; Snõõper; Sweeping Promises; Laraaji; and Salami Rose Joe Louis, who records with Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder label.
As curator, clipping. has selected billy woods of Armand Hammer, Backxwash, Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe and Australian noise musician Granpa (Lucas Abela). Calgary’s Cartel Madras will open for clipping. at The Palace Theatre. Lana Del Rabies is also on the bill, with more announcements expected.
The first wave continues with Etran de L’Aïr, a new solo project from Thor Harris, DijahSB, Emily Yacina, Suffering Hour and Tha Retail Simps. Emerging performers include Wheelchair Sports Camp, Jairus Sharif and Rebel Grrrlz, among others.
This year’s comedy headliner is Juno Award-winning comedian and actor Dave Merheje.
Pass options range from $65 to $85 for a Single Day Pass, $195 to $250 for a Discovery Pass and $319 to $399 for a Discovery Plus Pass. An All-Ages Pass for attendees under 18 is priced at $40.
