McDonald’s Canada is bringing hockey back to its counters, this time in miniature.
Beginning March 3, the company is launching the NHL Star Sticks Meal in partnership with the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players’ Association.
The limited-time promotion includes collectible mini sticks featuring seven NHL players: Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, Macklin Celebrini, Quinn Hughes, Cale Makar, Samuel Montembeault and Sam Reinhart.
Here’s what the NHL Star Sticks Meal includes: 
- The meal offers a choice of entrée: Hockey Hero Burger, Big Mac, 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, McVeggie, Spicy McVeggie, McVeggie Deluxe, or Spicy McVeggie Delux
- Medium World Famous Fries (made with 100% Canadian potatoes)
- Medium fountain drink of your choice
- One NHL Star Stick collectible featuring Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, Macklin Celebrini, Quinn Hughes, Cale Makar, Sam Reinhart, or Samuel Montembeault
The Hockey Hero Burger, back after strong demand last year, is made with three 100 per cent Canadian beef patties, shredded lettuce, hickory-smoked bacon, processed cheese and mayo-style sauce on a toasted homestyle bun.
Connor McDavid said he’s excited to partner with McDonald’s again, calling the promotion a “mini hockey experience.” Auston Matthews described the collectibles as a fun way for fans to own a small piece of the game.
McDonald’s Canada first introduced mini hockey sticks nearly 20 years ago. This latest version revives that concept for a new generation of fans.
The NHL Star Sticks Meal will be available at participating restaurants nationwide while supplies last. Customers can order in the restaurant, through the McDonald’s app or via McDelivery.
McDonald’s is the official hamburger partner of the NHL and NHLPA in Canada.
