The Flying Canoë Volant is a unique, nighttime, outdoor winter event.
In the spirit of a great winter city, the Flying Canoë Volant is a creative, interactive, cultural event, designed to celebrate local history and everything that is great about a long winter’s night.
Inspired by the legend of The Flying Canoe and French Canadian, First Nations and Métis traditions, this event celebrate Edmonton’s beautiful Mill Creek Ravine and the French Quarter. Come celebrate your inner voyageur with light, music, legends and dance!
The Flying Canoë Volant Races are an excellent way to bond with your friends and co-workers, meet new people and have some winter fun! But most importantly, they are a fantastic way to support this cherished not-for-profit event.

Tickets:
Free / Donations Appreciated.
Race – The cost of the relay is $20 per team as a donation to the festival.

At the door

6 PM – 10 PM (outdoors)
6 PM – 11 PM (indoors)
• The trails will remain illuminated until 10PM

Canoe Race: February 2nd and 3rd, from 6:30 to 7:30 for families
and from 8 pm to 9 pm for adult teams
The Flying Canoe Locations
Mill Creek Ravine Park, 87 Avenue & 95 Street

The site spans over 3.4 km, and offers many points of entry. While you are not required to enter the site at a specific point, you will need to adhere to directional pedestrian traffic once in attendance.
Parking:
Bonnie Doon Centre will be offering free parking for attendees of the show at the northwest corner of Bonnie Doon Centre!
A shuttle will be available on the evenings of February 2 and 3 between 5pm and 11pm that will circulate between Bonnie Doon Mall, La Cité Francophone.
