The wildlife tracking tour is organised by the Strathcona Park Lodge and Outdoor Education Centre. The trip takes you through British Columbia’s oldest provincial park – the Strathcona Provincial Park.

Wildlife Tracking the Elk River Valley is a Canadian Signature Experience.

 

What to Do during Wildlife Tracking by Strathcona Park Lodge?

Spend a day exploring the flora and fauna of the Strathcona Provincial Park with the wilderness spread over 250,000 hectares. Explore game trails and wildlife corridors of the Tlools Valley, walk through dense forest growth, follow animal tracts, take in the breadth-taking scenery of the landscape doted with lakes, streams, rivers and alpine tarns.

Strathcona Park Lodge is located in central Vancouver Island just outside the north-eastern tip of Strathcona Provincial Park on Upper Campbell Lake. A 40-minute drive from Campbell River.

Lodge is located 7 km before the park entrance.

Shuttle Service: Ambassador Shuttle Service (1-877-339-5252) from Comox, Courtenay and Campbell River.

Amenities & Other Information

2 nights accommodation at the Lodge (lake view chalet room), a day trip into the Tlools Valley, chef’s table meals and all equipment. There are no TVs or telephones within the rooms and all rooms are non smoking. Meals from arrival dinner to departure breakfast are included.

Experienced guides with Wilderness First Aid certification.

The lodge also offers various outdoor activities and expeditions to its visitors.
