We specifically mean all the new restaurants and food in Edmonton. It was a busy winter so far for restaurant, café, and pub openings around the city. And with that busy season of grand openings, Edmonton received places to try all different types of cuisine.

These new restaurants in Edmonton give you the option of anything from casual to gourmet experiences. These are some of Edmonton’s newest and best places to eat, drink, and to be merry in the New Year.

The Varsity

Edmonton’s Varsity Kitchen & Bar is the city’s newest family restaurant. They offer simple and high-quality pub-style foods, making it a perfect place to treat a date, your kids, or the whole family. There is a lot for the younger crowd to get excited about on their menu, too, like ice cream milkshakes, and a long list of pint-sized meal options. Adults have a lot to look forward to about The Varsity’s opening, too. Try out their BIG Onion, a full pound of fries, or their gourmet burgers.
