Sweeten your café visits this winter with Calgary’s best hot chocolate.

There is no single way to make hot chocolate, and these local cafes/restaurants prove you can create a tasty winter drink with a number of flavours and ingredients. And if you prefer something simple, there are options for a classic cup of hot chocolate, too!

These Calgary cafes provide not only warm drinks but also cozy places to enjoy them while the snow falls outside. And many of these locations offer food menus with plenty of other sweet treats like fresh baked goods, ice cream and gelato, or breakfast pastries. You may also recognize these locations as past YYC Hot Chocolate Fest contestants and winners.

Kristi YYC

Start with a basic but delicious hot chocolate from this Calgary Cafe and work your way through Kristi’s other hot chocolate creations over the winter. Kristi also makes a caramel flavoured, and a polar flavoured (peppermint) hot chocolate. For a limited time, you may also treat yourself to their Winter Specialty menu that includes Santa’s Spiced Hot Chocolate, or Gingerbread Hot Chocolate. Hungry too? Kristi has an assortment of tasty lunches, smoothies, and breakfast items.
