After being cancelled for two years, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride is returning to tour various cities and towns in Canada this year.
Showcasing the equestrian skills of the cavalry, the Musical Ride is performed by a full troop of 32 riders and their horses performing choreographed cavalry drills to music.
From the famous “Dome” formation, which was once featured on the back of the Canadian fifty-dollar bill, to the exciting “Charge” movement, where lances are lowered and the riders and their mounts launch into a gallop, the RCMP Musical Ride is a must-see event.
Every year, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride travels up to 50 communities across Canada between May and October, helping to raise money for local charities and non-profit organizations.
If you are interested in traditional RCMP ceremonies, you can also visit Ottawa to enjoy Canadian Sunset Ceremonies (2022 TBA) and Regina for Sergeant Major’s Parade and Sunset-Retreat Ceremony.
You can also tour the home of the RCMP Musical Ride, the Musical Ride Stables in Ottawa in summer once they reopen after COVID-19 closures.

RCMP Musical Ride will be touring Saskatchewan, the Maritimes and Southern Ontario this year. More details on the Maritimes tour and other locations in Saskatchewan, and Southern Ontario are yet to be announced.
