25 of the Biggest Concert Tours Visiting Calgary in 2024

While the summer concert calendar is not yet filled, and Calgary music festivals have not announced their headliners, the city will see a few of the biggest names heading to Alberta’s biggest city this year.

Calgary’s venues have concerts in 2024 that cover an array of musical genres – the biggest of those acts (announced so far) are listed below in chronological order.

Machine Head

Machine Head will take over the Grey Eagle Event Centre in late January. Machine Head are known internationally for their heavy metal sound, and Calgary is fortunate enough to be one of the five stops on their Slaughter the Martour 2024. If you can’t make it to Machine Head’s Calgary concert, there is also a chance to see them in Edmonton. Keep in mind that the Calgary show is all ages, but the Edmonton show is 18+. The show also features performance from Gatestohell, Orbit Culture, and Fear Factory.

Feist: Mutitudes Finale

Feist will bless their Calgary fans with two winter performances in 2024 at the Palace Theatre. Join the band either February 8th or 9th for one or two days of the singer/songwriter’s Mutitudes Finale Tour. Feist is a Canadian singer with roots in indie-pop and folk music.

Randy Bachman: Every Guitar Tells a Story

Legendary Canadian rock musician Randy Bachman returning to the Studio Bell this February. The show will include live performances from the star and with the help of his touring band, and an exhibition of his large guitar collection.

City & Colour with Nathanial Rateliff & The Night Sweats

City & Colour celebrated the release of a new album in 2023 and continue to celebrate with a tour. They’re touring alongside Nathanial Rateliff & The Night Sweats, too, within the large venue of Rogers. Warm up this February with Dallas Green’s smooth vocals, both bands’ indie sounds, and both bands’ upbeat tracks.

The Strumbellas: Part Time Believer Tour

The Strumbellas’ Part Time Believe Tour feature a scheduled stop for Calgary at the Palace Theatre. The Strumbellas welcome fellow musician and special guest, Michael Bernard Fitzgerald, on the tour as well. The Strumbellas are a Canadian band best known as indie-rock but have songs which blend multiple genres.

Warrant & Quiet Riot

Warrant and Quiet Riot will bring their 80’s rock sounds to the Grey Eagle Event Centre this coming February. Enjoy each of the popular band’s biggest #1 hits 80s hits. Each of the bands look a little different than they did back then with a few new members each.

Ice Cube: Straight into Canada

Ice Cube, of NWA and Straight Outta Compton fame, has created an all-Canadian tour! He’ll bring Straight into Canada to Calgary’s Grey Eagle Resort & Casino late this February. The concert may feature some classic NWA hits but is more likely to feature his latest solo album, Everythang’s Corrupt from 2018, or his earlier solo work.

Alberta’s own local band, the Rural Alberta Advantage, are touring the province this winter and included a stop at Calgary’s Palace Theatre. The Rural Alberta Advantage’s Rise & Fall Tour will have stops all across North America.

The Palace Theatre will host An Evening with Big Sugar late this winter. The set will feature Big Sugar’s 500 Lbs. album in its entirety. The all-Canadian band has a huge array of classic hits, many of which came from 1993’s 500 Lbs. album.

Alberta country star Corb Lund will bring his album release tour to Calgary this spring. Listen to the El Viejo album live at Calgary’s Grey Eagle Event Centre. He’ll be joined by special guest 49 Winchester.

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are on tour in 2024 with Alberta stops scheduled in both Calgary and Edmonton. Tickets aren’t on sale yet, but you can register for a pre-order notification or list. The show was originally planned for November 8th but was recently rescheduled to the 16th.
