- The Pinery Provincial Park is just as much fun in the winter as it is in the summer. Enjoy tobogganing, cross-country skiing, fat biking, and hiking. The park’s website regularly updates the list of their upcoming events and allows visitors to download a trail map to help them plan their treks along the well-maintained trails.

- Canatara Park in Sarnia is perfect for a family outing. Take a walk on the sandy beach and skip stones across the icy water of Lake Huron. You can also visit the free onsite animal farm, take a walk or let the kids climb the park’s play structure – there is something here for kids and grownups of all ages.
- Centennial Park, also in Sarnia, has a tobogganing hill that’s popular in the winter months. The park is known for being exceptionally clean, well-kept and offers walking trails and a playground for kids to enjoy and get some exercise.
- You haven’t experienced the full beauty of a waterfall until you’ve seen it in the winter. The Rock Glen Conservation Area waterfall is absolutely stunning in all its frozen glory.
- Built in 1978, the Dark Horse Estate Winery is the result of one family’s passion and hard work. Come for a taste and leave with a bottle of a full-bodied wine. While you are here take a stroll through the beautiful vineyard grounds, located next door to the iconic Huron County Playhouse.

- Show your support for local businesses when you visit the Sarnia Farmers’ Market. Open every Saturday from 7 am, the market vendors have a variety of delicious eats you can serve for dinner and treats for dessert.
- Want to try something new? Try your hand at axe or knife throwing at ValleyAxe. Come with a group, join a league or sign up for a tournament. There are plenty of options for some friendly competition.
- Experience a thrill of a lifetime at Grand Bend Sport Parachuting Center. Yes, parachuting adventures are offered year-round, even in the winter, weather permitting. Various options are available for beginners and advanced skydivers.

- Lambton County is a popular winter destination for snowmobilers. Over 150km of backcountry trails are available for your enjoyment. If you have a snowmobile, download the trail map and head for the great outdoors.
- Cycling and walking groups are active in Lambton County all year round. Join the locals who meet regularly and know all the scenic routes. Enjoy a relaxing winter stroll or an invigorating run or bike ride, while taking in the sights and breathing in the fresh air.
- Oakwood Resort offers free outdoor public skating. Bring your own skates and prepare to have a good time. The ice rink is lit up in the evenings for a skate under the stars. Enjoy a virtual tour of the area.
- The Town of Forest is a popular shopping area in Lambton County. Locals come here to do their major purchases, celebrate special occasions in the area restaurants. Many of the shops are located in historic buildings and the locals are known for their small-town hospitality.
