Dr. David Williams, Chief Medical Officer of Health, confirmed three more positive cases of COVID-19 on Sunday bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Ontario to 31.
Case 1: A female in her 40s returned from Colorado on March 2 and presented herself to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre’s emergency department in Toronto.
Case 2: A female in her 60s returned from France on March 2 and presented herself to Scarborough Health Network – General Site’s emergency department, in Toronto, on March 7.
Case 3: A male in his 60s returned from Washington, D.C. on March 3 and presented himself to North York General Hospital’s emergency department, also in Toronto, on March 7.
All three patients have been discharged home where they remain in self-isolation.
Four cases in the province are all resolved, with each of those patients having two consecutive negative tests at least 24 hours apart.
The government of Canada is sending a plane to repatriate Canadians on board the Grand Princess off the west coast of the United States, following an outbreak of COVID-19 on the cruise ship. The plane will bring passengers from San Francisco to Canadian Forces Base Trenton, after which they will be assessed and undergo a 14-day quarantine.

Currently in Canada, the total positive COVID-19 cases stand at 66, with 27 cases in British Columbia, 4 in Alberta, 31 in Ontario and 4 in Quebec. Of these 66, 8 cases, 4 each in B.C. and Ontario were fully resolved, with each of those patients having two consecutive negative tests at least 24 hours apart.
