Starting May 15th, Air Canada and Bell will provide free messaging for all Aeroplan members worldwide on all Wi-Fi equipped aircraft, including Air Canada Rouge and Air Canada Express flights.
The service will allow customers to send and receive text-based messages using popular messaging apps like iMessage, WhatsApp, Messenger, Viber, and Messages by Google.
The benefit will also be available to airline loyalty members, including United MileagePlus, Lufthansa Group Miles & More, and Emirates Skywards customers when their account numbers are associated with an Air Canada booking.
In addition, newcomers and visitors to Canada will receive complimentary mobile SIM cards on select inbound international flights, enabling them to activate and stay connected upon arrival.
The partnership will also enable collaboration on other customer benefits, such as the development of Aeroplan promotional rewards and the expansion of Live TV service on flights to the U.S. without blackouts or restrictions.
Aeroplan members can earn or redeem points on over 45 airlines serving around 1,400 destinations globally.
