All Ontario malls are closed except for essential services like grocery shopping, banking services, and restaurant take-outs as a response to the Ontario Government’s mandatory closure of all non-essential businesses effective 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24th to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Though essential services access remains open, some malls have closed interior access to its properties or are keeping only a single entrance open. Only outdoor access to stores like Dollarama, Shoppers Drug Mart, Farm Boy is allowed.
Cadillac Fairview has announced that it is closing all malls except for essential retailers.
The closure means the immediate suspension of all formal or informal mall walking programs.
