British Columbia is lifting all social gathering limits and capacity restrictions at personal gatherings, organized gatherings and events, nightclubs, bars and restaurants, exercise and fitness, and adult sports tournaments effective Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.

The province will continue proof of vaccine and indoor masking mandate requirements.
Announcing that capacity limits will return to normal, Premier John Horgan said, “The last two years have challenged us like never before. But British Columbians have shown we can overcome anything if we work together.”
List of Restrictions Lifted Effective Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.
- No restrictions on indoor and outdoor personal gatherings
- Full capacity allowed for:
- Indoor and outdoor organized events
- Indoor events at venues
- Exercise and fitness, adult sports activities, tournaments and swimming pools
- Full capacity and fewer restrictions in restaurants, bars, pubs and nightclubs:
- No limits on table size
- Normal liquor service hours
- Customers don’t have to remain seated
- Dancing is allowed when wearing a mask indoors
Restrictions on worship services and child and youth overnight camps are not being removed at this time. According to the news release, the province will review the remaining protective measures by March 15, and again by April 12.
