Tim Hortons is adding a touch of Hogwarts to its restaurants this summer, with Harry Potter-inspired food, drinks, merchandise and packaging arriving Aug. 12.
The promotion celebrates Back to Hogwarts and 25 years of Harry Potter. Guests will be able to choose from four donuts based on the Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor Strawberry Cheesecake, Slytherin Chocolate Pistachio, Ravenclaw Blueberry and Hufflepuff Lemon Meringue.
Golden Snitch Caramel Timbits will also join the menu, with a limited-edition Golden Snitch holder available for fans looking for a keepsake.
“Harry Potter has been a beloved part of so many of our guests’ lives for decades,” said Hope Bagozzi, chief marketing officer for Tim Hortons.
Cold drinks are getting a magical detail of their own. Patronus Sparkling Quenchers and Forbidden Forest Iced Tea Quenchers will be served in temperature-activated cups that reveal a trail of Patronuses when filled. The sparkling drinks can be customized with lemonade, a protein dairy beverage or served frozen. The iced tea option will be offered at participating restaurants with fountain beverages.
Collectable items include a cold-activated Stir Wand that turns blue to resemble the Patronus Charm, along with gift cards featuring a “25 Years of Magic” design.
Participating restaurants will host Harry Potter Trivia Night on Aug. 28. Locations and further details will be announced in the coming weeks.
Tims Rewards members will also have a chance to win one of two trips for two to London, England. Eligible purchases made between Aug. 17 and Sept. 6 qualify for entry.
Select products will come in Harry Potter-themed donut boxes, 10-pack and 20-pack Timbits boxes, and cold beverage cups while supplies last.
