Beyond King Tut: National Geographic’s Immersive Exhibition Opens Today in Vancouver

National Geographic’s Beyond King Tut is an immersive experience in Vancouver that takes you back in time to ancient Egypt when it was ruled by the pharaohs.

Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience

The exhibition is in celebration of the 100th anniversary of King Tutankhamun’s tomb discovery. This largely intact royal burial from ancient Egypt was discovered on November 4th, 1922 in the Valley of the Kings by excavators led by the Egyptologist Howard Carter.

It is described as a groundbreaking immersive exhibition that takes you into the world of Tutankamun. Be transported back in time 3000 years ago to the 18th dynasty when King Tut ruled Egypt. During this time Gods like Ra and Anubis were worshipped by the people.

This is a walk-through that enables you to discover the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time. Find yourself in modern-day Egypt, as the sun bathes the surrounding ancient structures in a fiery, golden glow. You will be standing among marvels, such as the Temple at Karnak,  The Great Sphinx and the Pyramids of Gaza.

There are 9 multi-sensory galleries about the life of King Tut. Beyond King Tut invites you to come face to face with the King and explore his world. You will learn about his life, death and discovery.
