A new entertainment complex, Bowls & Blasters, opens today at Promenade Shopping Centre, offering a 25,000 square-foot venue combining bowling, laser tag, bumper cars, and arcade games.

The facility marks the debut location of Bowls & Blasters, developed by Ali Chenari, a former art director with credits at Disney, Netflix, DreamWorks, and Nickelodeon. Chenari’s background in design and gaming influenced the venue’s layout and attractions.
The centre features 12 VIP bowling lanes enhanced with glow effects, projected visuals, and lounge-style seating. A multi-level laser tag arena offers eight game modes with LED gear and realistic recoil. Guests can also enjoy 360-degree bumper cars with synchronized music and lights, along with a large arcade filled with classic and modern games tied to a prize system.

On-site dining includes a menu designed for sharing and comfort, and the venue includes three private event rooms for group bookings. The space is also set to host themed nights, including retro gaming events and glow-in-the-dark challenges.
“This is the first venue of its kind in the region,” said Darren Woodworth, General Manager of Promenade Shopping Centre. “It’s a unique addition to the centre’s evolving role as a mixed-use urban destination.”

As part of Promenade’s broader redevelopment plans, additional amenities including new restaurants, fitness facilities, and year-round programming are expected to follow.
