Calgary Transit has launched a new weekend group day pass, which is aimed at families and groups travelling together who do not regularly use public transport.
The pass costs $15 and is valid for unlimited travel on weekends for up to five people, including two adults.
The group day pass is valid all day until the end of service, unlike a single ride ticket.
Calgary Transit expects that the new offer will help reduce travel costs for families and groups travelling together to attend weekend events and activities.
Customers can purchase the pass on the Transit trip planning app or from ticket vending machines at CTrain stations.

Councillor Kourtney Penner says the pass is an opportunity for groups to save on regular transit costs or on the cost and hassle of driving, parking, and navigating through traffic.
The new weekend group day pass will be available every weekend from April 15th.
