This year, the show will be honouring our frontline heroes through an incredible demonstration by the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Canada’s iconic Canadian Forces Snowbirds and CF-18 Demonstration Team will be at the airshow.

The show will also feature Skyhawks, Canada’s only military parachute demonstration team.

Other military aerial performers and flights include the United States Air Force F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team, CC-130J, 410 Squadron Demo, CH-148 Cyclone, McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle among others.

There are numerous static displays too, ranging from high-speed fighter jets that work in the sky and on the ground to jets used to transport troops, cargo or medical equipment like C-17 Globemaster III, F-15C Eagle, and CF-188 Hornet. You can also see jets that are used for re-fuel purposes and a jeep that can be taken apart and rebuilt in just 4 minutes.

In addition to all the big machines, you will get to see many stunning classic cars on display at the event as the Cold Lake Cruisers Car Club has a themed display ‘The Collector Cars of Racing’.

Several talented bands will be performing at the show, such as The 4 Wing Band, Beyond Blue, Drum N’ DJ and Econoline Crush.

If you are a craft beer connoisseur, there is a beer garden located on the flight line. There are two areas in the garden: the 18+ area and family friendly area. The garden will be serving beer made by a local brewery, especially for the air show.

You can also buy tons of delicious treats from food trucks and vendors.

Fun activities for kids include bouncy castles, street rovers, sparkle tattoos and balloon animals.

The show will be held on 16th July and 17th July. Cold Lake Air Show is the first of the four air shows scheduled in Alberta this year.

The gates will open at 9 a.m and the aerial performances will run from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are available on their website and costs $20 to $35.

The Cold Lake Air Show will take place at Canadian Forces Base in Cold Lake, Alberta.
