Mediacorp Canada Inc. announced the 2026 winners of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, acknowledging companies that have demonstrated resilience while many sectors brace for economic uncertainty.

Richard Yerema, executive editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project, noted that employers are operating at a “remarkable juncture” shaped by artificial intelligence, shifting trade dynamics and long-term demographic pressures. He said that while public attention often focuses on the risks associated with these changes, many organizations see disruption as a starting point for long-term strength.

Yerema emphasized that over the past 25 years, employers that adapted during major turning points, such as the pandemic or the 2008 financial crisis, ultimately emerged more stable and better positioned for growth.

According to Mediacorp, this year’s winners are distinguished by their decisions to increase investment in employee development and support systems at a time when many workplaces are undergoing rapid change. The organization noted that these employers are choosing to reinforce their talent strategies and equip workers with skills needed for future competitiveness.

The annual competition, now in its 26th year, evaluates employers across eight established criteria: Workplace; Work Atmosphere & Social; Health, Financial & Family Benefits; Vacation & Time Off; Employee Communications; Performance Management; Training & Skills Development; and Community Involvement.
