The first Monday in August is the time for people to come together and celebrate New Brunswick.

This year, the official celebrations are going to be held in the Village of Doaktown.

Official New Brunswick Day Celebrations

Gather your family and friends and head to Doaktown Community Park in the Village of Doaktown to celebrate New Brunswick Day!

The day will be filled with great entertainment and fun activities for all. This free, all-inclusive event will take place rain or shine. New Brunswick Day activities will be taking place in the community from July 31 to August 4.

Emancipation Day Weekend at Kings Landing

On August 1, 1834, slavery was abolished in British North America and other British colonies, freeing enslaved people in Canada. This weekend, we will mark Emancipation Day and focus on the Gordon House and Black history in New Brunswick in partnership with the New Brunswick Black History Society. Takes place on August 2 – 3, 2025.
