If you are planning to visit Niagara Falls on weekends and looking for a convenient public transit option, then the seasonal GO train service is back starting May 21st.
The train will run on weekends and holidays from the Victoria Day long weekend until Thanksgiving weekend.
There are three trains departing Toronto (Union Station) to Niagara Falls at 8:51 a.m., 12:51 p.m. and 4:51 p.m. The trains will also stop at Exhibition, Port Credit, Oakville, Burlington, Aldershot, and St Catharines.
Trains to Toronto will begin from Niagara Falls Via Station at 11:15 a.m., 3:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. If you miss the last train back to Toronto, then GO Bus Route 12 can get you back to Toronto after the last train. The current schedule shows that the last bus leaves Niagara Falls at 9:44 pm from Niagara Falls Bus Terminal.
To explore Niagara Falls, you can take WEGO Bus (GREEN WEGO) to Table Rock Centre which is located beside Horseshoe Falls.
For trips to Niagara Falls and back you can use the new GO Transit weekend passes. The One Day Pass only costs $10 and will allow you to travel all day long on a Saturday, Sunday or a Holiday. $15 Weekend Pass will allow you to travel all weekend long – Saturday, Sunday and any additional Holiday day.
