The holiday season in Charlottetown promises an unforgettable experience with the 2025 Charlottetown Christmas Festival.

Organized by Discover Charlottetown in partnership with the City of Charlottetown, the festival offers a variety of enchanting events suitable for all ages, ensuring that the festive spirit is felt throughout the city.
Kicking off the celebrations is the Mistletoe Market and PEICC Christmas Craft Fair. Explore twelve boutique huts featuring handcrafted Island goods by local artists, enjoy live music, wagon rides, and festive cheer.

The Charlottetown Christmas Tree Lighting will take place on November 28 at 6:00 p.m., starting with a candlelight promenade and followed by entertainment, treats, and a pyrotechnic display. Additionally, Holiday Maker Market at the Eastlink Centre offers unique gifts and opportunities to meet artisans.
Victorian Christmas Market is a major part of the festival and is now in its 11th year. It’s the largest of its kind in Atlantic Canada, featuring local artisans, food vendors, and crafters from across Prince Edward Island. The market’s atmosphere is further enhanced live ice sculpting, carollers, horse & wagon rides, live music, and cozy fire pits, making it a perfect spot to pick up unique local goods and enjoy hot cocoa.
Yuletide Horse & Wagon Rides add to the holiday cheer, along with Christmas Carols at the Great George Hotel, Breakfast with Santa across various venues. The Beaconsfield Historic House hosts a Victorian Christmas experience, rounding out the festival’s diverse and engaging holiday offerings.
Plus, the Confederation Centre and Trailside Music Hall will have various artists spreading the Christmas cheer through concerts and live shows.

- The Mistletoe Market (Nov 21 – Dec 21): Explore festive boutique huts featuring handcrafted goods by Island artisans. Shop unique gifts and soak in the holiday cheer every weekend through December!
- PEI Craft Council Annual Christmas Craft Fair (Nov 21-23): Celebrating its 61st year, this craft fair at the Seaport features high-quality crafts made in PEI, providing an opportunity to find unique gifts and meet the makers.
- Yuletide Horse & Wagon Rides (Nov 21 – Jan 2): Enjoy this timeless holiday tradition, perfect for families and friends, as you soak in the holiday magic! Offered daily during the Victorian Christmas Market and Saturdays during the Charlottetown Christmas Festival, rides depart from Victoria Row or Boulder Park.
- Victorian Christmas Market (Nov 29 to Dec 1): A major attraction of the festival, the Victorian Christmas Market, held at the Confederation Court Mall, brings together artisans, food vendors, and crafters from across PEI. Enjoy live carolers, horse & wagon rides, ice sculpting, cozy firepits, local food, and artisan vendors. Highlights include Santa visits, live music, and a Christmas tree garden.

- The Indigenous Artisans Christmas Market (Nov 22): Discover the rich culture of Epekwitk at the Indigenous Artisans Christmas Market! Featuring 50+ Indigenous artisans, this event showcases unique art and crafts while celebrating Mi’kmaq traditions.
- Deck the Hall (Dec 5 to 21): Celebrate the holidays at Deck the Hall over three festive weekends in December! Enjoy rotating pop-ups, local vendors, ice carvings, fire pits, live music, and signature events like Santa visits (pets welcome!), culinary demos, a Snow & Glow Night Market, and children’s entertainment.
- Breakfast with Santa (Nov 29 – Dec 21): Santa will visit select restaurants, cafes, and other venues on Saturday mornings.
- Feast Dinner Theatres: Fairytale of New York (Dec 2 to 18): Get Ready for a Fairytale of New York. Taking place in Rodd Charlottetown, this festive holiday event is filled with laughter, music, and stories!
