3. Ceilidh at the Irish Hall – Charlottetown until October 18, 2019
Spend the day enjoying traditional music from Scotland, Ireland, and the Maritimes at the Ceilidh at the Irish Hall. Some of the best traditional musicians from PEI will perform at this event.
4. Taste The Town – Food & Fact Tour – Charlottetown daily until October 31, 2019
Take a leisurely stroll through historic downtown Charlottetown and see for yourself why it has been named ‘Canada’s Food Island’. The tour stops at 5 locations in the heart of Charlottetown where you will meet some characters that make the city so special and the role that PEI played in the formation of Canada.
5. Singalong Jubilee – Charlottetown until October 12, 2019
Get ready to sing along with this Canadian phenomenon. Songs from the 60s and 70s and some of the most iconic Canada songs have been selected to be played live. See and singalong to Singalong Jubilee before it leaves the stage.

6. Hand Embroidery – Charlottetown on October 12, 2019
Learn how to do hand embroidery at Elizabeth’s first workshop with the Mobile Makery. The class is being held at Small Print Game Cafe and is great for beginners and out of practice embroiderers. By the end of the class, you will create your own wildflower bouquet piece.
7. Projections: Gallery Under the Stars – Charlottetown until October 12, 2019
The walls of the Confederation Centre of the Arts light up at night with a series of video installations, curated by Ihor Holunizky. Show starts at 9:30 pm. The show during the upcoming Thanksgiving Weekend on October 12th is ‘Portrait of a man: alive and spinning’ by Shaun Gladwell.
8. Look Good, Feel Good – Charlottetown on October 12, 2019
Try out the new Go Glam Nail Stamper and Lucky Fortune BFF Bracelets at Indigo Charlottetown. The event is free and there will be a photo booth to take photos with your BFF.
9. Charlottetown Farmers’ Market
The Charlottetown Farmers’ Market is the place to be on Saturday morning, especially if you are looking for fresh produce for your Thanksgiving Feast. Vendors from across the island come to the market to showcase their work and sell their fresh produce that is in season.
10. City Highlights Bus Tour
Visiting Charlottetown during Thanksgiving weekend? See the capital city of Prince Edward Island on this double-decker bus sightseeing tour that explores the waterfront, city, and key sights. Learn about this the island from your guide and see the city’s highlights like Province House, Victoria Park, Beaconsfield and more. For every tour ticket sold, the provider makes a contribution to the Prince Edward Island chapter of the Children’s Wish Foundation.
11. Rise and Climb Adventure Course
You can get a bird’s eye view of the forest while challenging your climbing skills on the Rise and Climb Adventure Course. If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, they offer High Tech Laser Tag in a forest setting that.
12. Lobster on the Wharf
Lobster on the Wharf is Charlottetown’s premier seafood restaurant and has earned this title since opening 1986. You can enjoy the freshest seafood along with other local favorite dishes while watching the boats come and go from the wharf. You can also take home lobsters for Thanksgiving from the Lobster Pound.
13. Chinese Junk Boat Tour In Charlottetown: In the Wake of Zheng He
Do something different this Thanksgiving! Take a Hong Kong-built Chinese junk boat and cruise and learn about Chinese exploration and sail out into the sea on this tour of Charlottletown. With the help of many props and visuals, hear stories about Chinese history and immigrants in Canada. Enjoy snacks on daytime cruises and dinner on nighttime cruises.
14. Belfast Corn Maze
Just a 30 minute drive from Charlottetown is the Belfast Corn Maze at Chuckwagon Farm. The corn maze is challenging and made up of designs that only are visible from the air. There is a lot of family fun to have at Chuckwagon Farm, including an obstacle course, farm animals, a jumping pillow and much more.
15. Great Northern Adventures – Bunbury
Be prepare for some scares when you go on a haunted hayride or explore the haunted barn at Great Northern Adventures. If you prefer to be less scared, they do offer child-friendly options. You can also meet the Australian Shepherds that call the farm home while you are there.
16. Tour the Cows Creamery
PEI is known for being the home of Cows Creamery and its funny cow themed T-shirts. You can take your family on the free self-guided tour of the COWS factory to see how the famous ice cream is made. After the tour is over, you all can enjoy a cone at the ice cream shop.
17. Take the Secrets of Charlottetown Walking Tours
Charlottetown’s history has many secrets, ghost-sightings and legends. The hour long Secrets of Charlottetown Walking Tour will take you around the historic downtown core. The tour starts on the corner of Water and Queen Street, where your guide will make it possible to see learn about the local legends and folklore.
18. Wintermoor Orchard – York
Pick your own apples this fall in York at the Wintermoor Orchard. They have 14 varieties of apples that you can choose from, and you can enjoy fresh apple cider after you are finished picking your apples.
19. MacPhee’s Orchard – Cardigan
The MacPhee’s Orchard U-pick has new apples coming into season each week. The orchard is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. There are over 4,000 trees, which are pruned to make it easy to pick the apples.
20. Arlington Orchards – Miscouche
If you love apples, pay a visit to PEI’s largest orchard, Arlington Orchards. They have over 32 acres of apples, plus they grow local plums and pears that add another 18 acres to their orchards. You can sample some of the 27 varieties of apples that they grow, so you can decide which apple is your favorite.
21. Zombie Walk 2019 – Charlottetown on October 12, 2019
Join the hoard and do your best zombie walk down Victoria Row. This ghouly event is fun for the whole family. Keep an eye out for the walking route and the after-party location where there will be food and entertainment.
22. Halloween Events
Take a drive to Cavendish for some scares this Thanksgiving Weekend. The Route 6 Motel is reported to be so scary that they actually have a ‘safe-word’. You can crawl, walk or sprint through the pitch-black Route 6 Motel’s haunted halls to get out safely. However, if you’re too scared to make it through, you can stop and scream “check out!” three times and a staff member will help you out of the haunted hotel.
