Taylor Swift fans will get a chance to gather at Cineplex theatres this fall for a special event tied to her latest album. For three nights only — October 3, 4 and 5 — Cineplex locations across Canada will screen The Official Release Party of a Showgirl.
The pre-recorded event marks nearly two years since Swift’s last appearance on the big screen and offers more than just music. Audiences will see the world premiere of the music video The Fate of Ophelia, plus behind-the-scenes footage from its shoot. The program also includes new lyric videos and personal reflections from Swift on tracks from her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.
Tickets go on sale September 23 (today) at 3 p.m. local time, priced at $16. Online purchases through Cineplex.com or the Cineplex app carry an additional fee of up to $1.50 per ticket, and taxes apply. The Official Release Party of a Showgirl will be available in select premium experiences including VIP Cinemas and UltraAVX. Movie passes won’t be accepted.
