The city of Calgary’s outdoor ice skating trail at North Glenmore Park is now open.
During winter, the city converts a section of North Glenmore Park that borders the north side of the Glenmore Reservoir into a 730-meter ice skating trail and connected skating rink where you can have tons of fun with your friends and family.
Even if you don’t skate, North Glenmore Park is a fantastic place to visit during winter. Enjoy a walk appreciating the picturesque winter scenery. The park also has a fire pit that you can use. Just bring your firewood! Visitors can park in lots J to P, conveniently situated in the park’s northwest corner, close to the Snowy Owl picnic site. An intriguing blend of Crokinole and curling, Crokicurl, awaits in this corner near the Merlin and Snowy Owl picnic sites, offering a unique and large-scale gaming experience on the ice.
