Calgary Opening an Outdoor Skating Trail at North Glenmore Park

The city of Calgary is planning to open a new outdoor ice skating trail at North Glenmore park as a pilot project in late December.

The pilot project will convert a section of North Glenmore Park that borders the north side of the Glenmore Reservoir, into a 730-meter ice skating trail and connected skating rink where you can have tons of fun with your friends and family. The Ice trail will be completely free for everyone!

Even if you don’t skate, North Glenmore Park is a fantastic place to visit during winter. Enjoy a walk apreciating the picturesque winter scenery. The park also has a fire pitthat you can use. Just bring your own firewood!

North Glenmore Ice Trail

What: 730 metres of connected track, through North Glenmore park, with an attached skating rink located in the centre.

When: Open starting December 24th from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
