In the winter, Arrowhead Provincial Park staff grooms and maintains a 1.3km long outdoor skating trail for public skating.

During select nights during the winter season, called Fire & Ice Nights, 1.3 km skating trail that winds through the Muskoka forest is lit with hundreds of tiki torches.

Tickets : Park Admission: daily vehicle pass. $21

Ice skate rental:$18 for 3 hours

How to get tickets?

You can purchase a vehicle permit in advance online or via phone. You can reserve a permit for Fire and Ice Nights in advance by selecting the “Day Use + Fire and Ice Evening Skate” option.

Fire & Ice permits can be reserved up to 5 days in advance. For the upcoming Friday, book on Sunday, 7:00 a.m. For upcoming Saturday, book on Monday, 7:00 a.m.

Night Skating Scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. – January 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, 31, February 6, 7,13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28, 2026

Day Skate Daily Weather Permitting:

  • Daily: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday/Saturday on Fire and Ice night: 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Take exit 226, turn right onto Muskoka Road 3, and then turn left onto Arrowhead Park Road.
