Escape the winter blues on Feb. 14 and join us for Cabin Fever, a free, winter-themed festival packed with indoor and outdoor fun across two fantastic locations. There’s something for everyone!
- Music: Enjoy performances from emerging local artists as they bring fresh energy and hometown talent to Cabin Fever.
- Roving puppets: Add a playful touch and photo opportunity to your day by hanging out with Green Fools’ Walter the Great White Wapiti and a whimsical white rabbit.
- Backyard Play – Outdoor Edition: Join the community as we bring the popular Backyard Play program outside for Cabin Fever! Experience the joy of spontaneous outdoor play with a variety of toys and room to run!
- Craft station: Take a break inside with a child friendly craft, hosted by two of Airdrie’s local Artists.
- Face painting: Celebrate your love for outdoor whimsy with Artist Calgary’s talented face painters. From playful critters to magical scenes, they bring every design to life.
- TELUS Spark: Drop in, get curious, and explore cold-weather experiments that showcase the wonders of winter science.
- Color Club: Capture the moment with a fun, personalized caricature. Color Club will be on-site creating playful, one of a kind portraits that will make a great keepsake from your Cabin Fever day.
- Indigenous games and teachings: Experience traditional teachings and take part in interactive games that highlight culture, connection, and community. A welcoming opportunity to participate and celebrate the knowledge shared by local Indigenous leaders.
- Fireside Treats: Warm up by the fire at Nose Creek Park with complimentary hot dogs and a cozy beverage. It’s the perfect way to take the chill off and enjoy the Cabin Fever atmosphere.
- Wagon Rides: Settle in for a cozy ride through Nose Creek Park on a classic horse drawn waggon. A charming winter tradition for all ages.
- Canadian Maple Shack: Stop by Nose Creek Park for a taste of classic Canadian sweetness. Warm maple taffy will be served on Fresh clean snow for the perfect winter treat.
